At the USA Invitational in Mobile, Ala., Loyola’s track team had a day of broken records. Visual arts junior Sarah Tortorich achieved new times in both the 200- and 400-meter dashes. She ran 25.27 seconds in the 200-meter dash, which beat her time of 25.67. In the 400-meter Tortorich ran 57.85, beating the time she just set at the Louisiana Classic. Mass communication junior Lauren Fincher broke her own 400-meter hurdles record from 2010 at 1:09.82. Management junior Claude Nelson brought home a record for the men. He reached a time of 22.76 in the 200-meter race.
