The Wolf Pack dropped their second straight game to a Division I opponent with a 84-49 in El Paso, Texas on Nov. 9.
The Pack had trouble getting the offense going in the matchup, shooting only 26.9 percent from the field.
Head Coach Michael Giorlando said that his team had some good opportunities to score but credited UTEP for their strong defense.
“We played against a very disciplined, tough defensive oriented team. This will be a great experience for our guys moving forward,” he said.
The Miners had a much easier time putting points on the board as they shot 52.2 percent from the field in the game.
Management junior Kyle Simmons and management freshman Jalen Gray led the offense for the Pack with 12 points each.
Loyola will open their regular season schedule against faulkner University on Nov. 15 in Montgomery, Ala.
