Joel Buhler, English writing sophomore, has been named Louisiana Sports Writers Association Co-Pitcher of the Week.
He is being honored for his performance during the week of March 29, where he played a nine-inning complete game against William Carey University.
He struck out seven players and only allowed eight hits, including two back to back strike outs while the bases were loaded. This is the first LSWA award for a Loyola student athlete this season.
Buhler will be on the mound again this weekend when they play Martin Methodist University in a three-game set on April 4.
