The Southern States Athletics Conference named Cameron Hill, mass communication senior, Manuel “Roco” Gandara, international business senior, McCall Tomeny, finance junior, Kyle Simmons, management senior, and Benjamin Amoss, finance junior, to the All-Academic team for the 2013-2014 season.
Earlier this year Hill was named Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athlete. Last year he was also named SSAC All-Academic, as well as the NABC Honor’s Court and the NAIA Champions of Character representative for Loyola.
Gandara has been named to the All-Academic team for three years running. Last season he was also named Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athlete and to the NABC Honor’s Court.
Tomeny has also been named to the SSAC All-Conference team, as well as the NAIA Honorable Mention All-American. He’s tenth in the division for points and third for rebounds. This is the second year in a row he’s been named to All-Academic.
Simmons is being named for the second straight year. He also has played all 27 games, and has started 26 of those.
Amoss is also being honored for the second consecutive year. He has appeared in 17 games.
