Brief: Law building recognized

The College of Law’s Broadway building has achieved LEED, Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design, Silver Certification for its environmentally friendly characteristics. The U.S. Green Buildings Council awards the certifications. Thomas Hall is another LEED certified building on campus, and was awarded LEED Gold in September. Some of the Broadway building’s achievements include reusing an old structure, water use reduction, using recycled content and energy performance, among others. LEED certification is the most recognized global standard for high performance buildings that are efficient, cost-effective and better for occupants and the environment.
