Brief: Yo-Yo Ma, Wynton Marsalis and Philippe Entremont to visit campus

This month starts the Montage Fine and Performing Arts season at Loyola. The series will include performances by various student ensembles as well as performances by the Tokyo String Quartet, trumpeter Wynton Marsalis, saxophonist Victor Goines ’84 and New Orleans Philharmonic Orchestra maestro Philippe Entremont.

The season has more than 100 events featuring jazz concerts, ballet productions and visual arts exhibits. This year’s Montage season will celebrate the centennial of Loyola University New Orleans. Master classes for the music students this season will include cellist Yo-Yo Ma, Marsalis, Greer Grimsley ’76.
