Brief: Falotico removed from race

Current SGA Vice President Michael Falotico has been removed from the race for SGA president.

Falotico was forced to drop out of the race after he was found to be in violation of SGA’s campaign laws by the elections board.

“Specifically Mr. Falotico was found in violation of CR.02, CR.03 and CR.06 of the Spring Election Packet 2013,” SGA President Khaled Badr said in a statement. Badr said he couldn’t comment on the situation any further at this time because of what he described as legal reasons.

As a result of Falotico’s ineligibility, presidential candidate Jasmine Barnes is currently running unopposed for the position. Barnes will still need a majority of the vote before she can be awarded the presidency.
