Brief: Physics student works with NASA in Texas this summer

Several Loyola students from the physics department have been given the opportunity to spend four days at NASA’s world-class Columbia Scientific Balloon Facility in Palestine, Texas. The Louisiana Aerospace Catalyst Experiences for Students project provided the opportunity. The students will be under the direction of professor Patrick Garrity. “Team Iggy” consists of Taylor Kall, physics pre-engineering freshman, Dave Vumbaco, biology senior, Thomas Slack, physics senior, John Duhe, physics junior, Riley Mayes, physics pre-engineering freshman and Cameron McCormick, physics pre-enginnering junior.
