According to the Greater New Orleans Community Data Center, New Orleans has reduced the amount of blighted properties by 8,000 since 2010. This means it is no longer the city with the highest percentage of blight. Flint, Mich. holds that title with 27 percent of all residential addresses blighted. New Orleans has 21 percent blight.
