Loyola baseball defeats Blue Mountain College

After splitting a double-header on March 25, the Loyola University New Orleans baseball team returned on Saturday to wrap up its three-game series with Blue Mountain College.

Ben Condara helped power the Wolf Pack to the 12-6 victory. Loyola won the series 2-1.

With the score stuck at 0-0 in the second, Condara connected on a double to score Alexander Lorenzo from second to put the Wolf Pack on the board first. With two outs, Lance Licciardi flied out to left to score Britt Pellegrin and put Loyola up 2-0.

The Wolf Pack’s offense surged in the top of the third, putting up five runs on seven hits to take the commanding 7-1 lead.

The Toppers quickly responded with four runs in the bottom of the third to cut the deficit to 7-5 heading into the fourth.

Both teams scored a run in the eighth inning to end with the Wolf Pack winning with a score of 12-6.
