The Journey to Justice tour that has been touring all across the country is coming to Loyola on Oct. 3 to host an interactive mobile museum by their repurposed school bus with survivors of solitary confinement.
The tour, The Road Map to Ending Torture, strives to spread awareness about the hundreds of thousands of people, including children, being tortured in the United States with solitary confinement. New Orleans is currently the only stop that the Journey to Justice tour is making in the South.
The interactive mobile museum will take place from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., and there will be a lunch panel featuring solitary confinement survivors, including Kiana Calloway, a Jesuit Social Research Institute member and current Loyola student from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m.
