Louisiana Governor Jeff Landry has released a statement criticizing Loyola University following the charter denial of a Turning Point U.S.A. chapter on campus.
Using various social media platforms, Landry posted a highlighted portion of Loyola’s mission statement that reads, “Loyola University New Orleans…welcomes students of diverse backgrounds,” and responded in the caption.
“Hmmm… so much for welcoming students with diverse backgrounds, @loyola_nola. I’ll be taking a look at this to ensure all voices are heard on campuses across Louisiana!”
This statement comes less than 24 hours after Fox News published a story covering Loyola’s Student Government Association’s Oct. 15 senate meeting, where TPUSA was denied chartering.
