The Loyola Baseball team was running on a five-game winning streak until they played the University of New Orleans on April 23, and lost 1-4. UNO was on a six-game losing streak.
This now puts Loyola at 0-5 all-time against UNO, an opponent they haven’t played since 2007.
This is the third NCAA Division I team they have played this season. They first played Nicholls State in February and lost, but then went on to win against Southern University last week.
After Wednesday’s game, they only have two left until the Southern States Athletic Conference championship tournament at the end of this month.
