The New Orleans Zephyrs ended their season four games early due to the disruption of Hurricane Isaac. The Zephyrs were scheduled to go against the Iowa Cubs in their last four games. The 2013 season will pick up Aug. 4, 2013. In addition to the season ending early, the Miami Marlins have announced a two-year extension of the player development contract they have held with the Zephyrs. The Marlins will provide the Zephyrs with players and coaches and will serve as parent club to the New Orleans team.
