The Atlanta Falcons defeated the Green Bay Packers 44-21 in the National Football Conference Championship, sending them to Super Bowl LI.

Atlanta quarterback, Matt Ryan had an impressive game attempting 38 passes and completing 27 of them for a total of 392 yards. He also notched 4 touchdowns.

The Atlanta defense was able to fully contain the Packers. The defense held Green Bay scoreless until deep into the third quarter. However, despite the newfound offensive energy from the Packers, the Falcons still prevailed by a large margin.

Former MVP and Packers star quarterback, Aaron Rodgers recorded 3 touchdowns on 287 yards, but his team could not catch up to the Falcons.

With last night’s win, the Falcons head to the Super Bowl for just the second time in the franchise’s history. The appearance ends the team’s 19-year drought without appearing in the title game.

The Falcons will face off against Tom Brady and the New England Patriots at Super Bowl LI. The game will be held in Houston on Feb. 5.
