Junior guard Di’Mond Jackson and senior combo guard and forward Johnny Griffin Jr. have been awarded their second Southern States Athletic Conference Basketball Player of the Week awards.
Jackson receives this honor in consecutive weeks.
Jackson lead her Wolf Pack squad to two conference victories over Brewton-Parker and Costal Georgia. She had an average seven points, 13.5 rebounds, and 6.5 assists in the dominating victories.
Jackson leads the SSAC with 99 total assists and is ranked ninth in the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics.
Griffin Jr. wins the award after his impressive performances over Brewton-Parker and Costal Georgia.
Griffin Jr. had an average this week of 18 points off of 48% (13-of-27) shooting and 10 rebounds.
At the midway point of the season, Griffin Jr. leads his team in scoring (15.52 points per game), rebounding average (10.19 rebounds per game), and steals.
Griffin Jr. also won the award in Week 7 of this season.
