City wide power outages currently affecting the greater New Orleans area have caused disruptions across campus. Students have reported power surges impacting the day-to-day operations at Loyola. An Uptown Hall resident reports that the elevators in the building are down as a result of the outage. Additionally, a member of Res life says that the lights in their dorm room have been flickering. The disruptions and impacts are not specific to Uptown Hall. Tulane’s campus is also affected according to students with knowledge of the situation. This is a developing situation.
